Yet again Rivington R. members take the time and effort to travel to Cheshire (Peover Hall) to run the air gun events for the BASC at their Young Shots Days.
Despite the cold and biting winds, which the youngsters didn't notice, we spent the full day giving them one-to-one coaching. Here, one of our newest club members (Ian B. left) attends one of these events for the first time but I'm sure it wont be his last. New members are encouraged to help with these events and get into the 'spirit' of the club but we do understand that some, due to other commitments (work etc.) can make it. Those that do usually come back for more.
Letter received from Phil Pugh, Northern Director of the BASC -
'Thank you every so much for everything you and your team did to make the above event such a resounding success.
Despite the weather the youngsters all enjoyed themselves and several who were not members at the start of the day joined the Association before they left and many have booked to attend further days.
Without the help of clubs like yours these days would be impossible to stage and as far as I am concerned I consider myself very lucky to have such a professional, enthusiastic and dedicated group who always generously give their time and expertise to BASC.
