| Respect
your quarry by practicing to ensure you are a consistently accurate
shot. |
| Get insurance and carry it at all times. |
| Read and understand current legislation, be informed and
courteous when dealing with anti shooting types. |
| Always get permission to shoot. |
| If you cannot identify your quarry,
and/or you are unsure of its status...UNLOAD, and DON'T shoot. |
| When hunting, never take a shot which you are not very
confident of. There's always another day and another opportunity. |
| It is legal to shoot in your back garden, as long as you have
a suitable back stop and no pellets leave your property. Saying this,
be polite and inform your neighbours prior to doing so. Use your common
sense though, if the above is not suitable for you, don't risk it. |
Check out the DEFRA web site for allowed quarry AND check out
the BASC web site for advice on that quarry before hunting. Only hunt
if you are a good shot and confident of your ability.
