Directions to the Turton Outdoor Range.
Although directions to the Turton range are provided NOBODY may
use the outdoor range UNLESS THEY HAVE FIRST ATTENDED AT THE INDOOR RANGE. (See
Note 1)
Do not expect to just turn up and be allowed
to shoot!!!!

Directions from M60.
Leave the M60 following the
Bolton signs. Continue to follow the Bolton A666 signs onto a dual carriageway
road with out pavements. Follow this road for a few miles and then turn right at
the first set of traffic lights. (3 Speed camera’s on this road). As you turn
right there will be a Retail park on your left. Continue to the traffic lights
and turn left (A676). Continue along this road and go through 3 sets of traffic
lights.
Pass Canon Slade School on your left and at the next set of lights bear left
(B6472). Continue along this road until you pass under a stone railway bridge,
turning right immediately after exiting the bridge (B6391).
Continue along this road (Bromley Cross Railway Station on your right) passing
under another railway bridge after about 1 ½ miles. A few hundred yards further
and you will find Turton Tower entrance on your left.
Drive into the entrance through the stone columns and continue, passing the
Tower Gates on your right.
Continue over the ornate bridge and up the road. Turn left at the top and you
are on the site.
Directions from J6 M61.
Turn off Junction 6 (M61)
and follow the Bolton signs. You will pass the Reebok Stadium on your left.
Continue through the traffic lights and go right at the final roundabout,
following the Bolton signs. Continue along this road (A673 Chorley New Rd) and
turn left at the first set of traffic lights.
This is the A58 Ring Rd. Stay on this road (a couple of miles) going through all
the traffic lights and over the one roundabout. You will pass under a metal
railway bridge, turn left at the next set of traffic lights (A676).
You will pass Canon Slade School on your left and at the next set of traffic
lights bear left (B6472). Continue along this road until you pass under a stone
railway bridge, turning right immediately after exiting the bridge (B6391).
Continue along this road (Bromley Cross Railway station on your right) passing

This does not apply to organised club events such as the
Charity Shoot or HFT rounds and Interclub Competitions..
Directions to the Indoor Range are not
available on the internet, please contact the Club Secretary to get them.
