| Always
treat rifle as if its loaded. |
| Check charging equipment before use for tightness. |
| Never point a weapon in jest. |
| Never leave a loaded gun unattended....even for a second. |
| If its got a safety catch....use it. |
| If you think your rifle is unloaded, check it, if you're sure
it's unloaded, check it. |
| Always hold onto the cocking
lever or barrel when loading an spring rifle especially an
underleaver, people have lost fingers who didn't hold
on. **** Don't just rely on the anti-bear trap ****
|
| If you cannot either see where your shot will fall, or be
sure of a safe impact behind the target/quarry should you miss, don't
shoot. |
| Always do the safety things even when you are out alone, and
have a few practice shots at preset distances before you start your
shooting proper. |
| When you buy a new rifle, read the handbook first!. |
| Remember guns are never at fault, just the person behind the
trigger, so think before you squeeze. Would you give a monkey a spanner
and ask it to service your car? |
| Get hold of the 'A Fathers Advice' poem, then memorise it,
then use what it says. All the good safety stuff is in there, kept me
in one piece with my guns for almost 30 years. |
| Treat compressed air with the respect it deserves. |
| Enjoy your self & be safe, be seen to be safe &
educate all you see being unsafe. |
If you are neither a competent airgun mechanic or a trained gunsmith,
don't mess go to someone who knows.
|
|
Only ever fill a Pre-Charged gun with AIR. |
| Never rely on a safety catch to ensure a persons safety. |
